Who We Are
At Sohkâtan Contracting, we are proud to represent the collective strength of two Indigenous-owned entities: Lonona Contracting and Paskwayak Business Development Corporation. Our name, “Sohkâtan,” comes from the Cree word for “bridge,” reflecting our role in connecting people, expertise, and opportunities across communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
We serve a broad range of clients across the prairies, offering construction, sand and gravel, remediation, scaffolding, and more. By choosing Sohkâtan Contracting, you are supporting long-lasting benefits for Indigenous communities, including Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Manitoba, and the Athabasca Basin communities of northern Saskatchewan, including Hatchet Lake First Nation, Blake Lake First Nation, Fond du Lac First Nation, Stony Rapids, Camsell Portage, Uranium City, and Wollaston Lake.
